Ghostrunner's New Update Presents a New, More Challenging Mode

Ghostrunner is a type of game that wasn't made to be easy to play. Well, recently, 505 Games as the developer launched a new update that not only presents cosmetic DLC, but also two new modes, one of which makes Ghostrunner more difficult than it was originally already very difficult.

The new mode in question is Wave Mode, where the mode is inspired by a roguelike mechanism that will "rain" players with a bunch of enemies after enemies. Each wave of enemies presented will be increasingly difficult to defeat but players will have the opportunity to upgrade skills or passive abilities every time a round changes.

Not only Wave Mode, Ghostrunner's new update also brings another new mode Assist Mode. Unlike the Wave Mode which is designed to challenge players, Assist Mode is just the opposite, allowing players to enjoy the Ghostrunner story and run around killing enemies without having to fear death in one hit.

To help make the game easier, Assist Mode comes with three options or settings that can be changed, namely shorter cooldown, slower gameplay and extra lives. Through the new mode, 505 Games hopes that Ghostrunner can be enjoyed by more players, especially those who are afraid of the difficulty level offered.

Finally, there is cosmetic DLC in the form of a Neon Pack that features four new sword and gauntlet sets named Neon Night, Afterglow, Luminesense and Glint. Each has a different type of neon color and can be purchased for US$4.99 or around Rp. 71 thousand.

Ghostrunner is currently available to play on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch as well as PC. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions have been confirmed and will be released on September 28, 2021.
