Resident Evil 3 Remake is less salable compared to RE2 Remake & RE7

Having had fallen into the taste of action that was too obvious in the past, Capcom's decision to offer a flavor of survival horror is thicker with Resident Evil 7, of course welcomed. The momentum of the game's success that also feels fantastic in the VR format is followed by the action of Resident Evil 2 Remake which has such high quality, that it is even ready to compete in the arena of Game of the Year last year. Not surprisingly, departing from the same situation, many hope that their Resident Evil 3 Remake project will also come with the same quality. But apparently, this one game is not as popular as we imagine.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is less salable compared to RE2 Remake & RE7

Diverse reception that is not all positive seems to have a big influence on the popularity of Resident Evil 3 Remake, at least in terms of sales. Although in their financial statements, Capcom admitted that they still consider selling RE3 Remake as "solid" or still within their expectations, sales of games containing Jill Valentine as the main character were not the two previous series.

Resident Evil 3 Remake recorded successfully sold around 2.7 million copies in the period of 3 months of release. This figure is much smaller than Resident Evil 2 Remake, which managed to record around 4.2 million copies in the same period. Even Resident Evil 7 is more in demand, with sales of around 3.5 million copies in the first 3 months. This figure is of course taken from the accumulation of sales of digital and physical versions, on all available release platforms.

But despite this low sales figure, Capcom managed to record increased profits from the previous year thanks to the sale of Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne which are still selling well in the market.

How about you? How many of you truly enjoy Resident Evil 3 Remake?
